An Unusual George III Serving Table Attributed To Gillow

Sold

Circa: 1800

Depth: 21"

Height: 34"

Width: 45"

Period: 18th century

Made from Cuban mahogany, the table is of excellent quality and colour. It retains the original handles as well as the internal removable zinc ice containers. At 34″ high it is a good serving height and at only 21 inches deep, unusually shallow. From the design, quality and handles the table is attributed to the workshops of Gillow. As well as a serving table it could equally be used as a console table.

“A highly unusual and elegant serving table of shallow depth that is attributed to Gillow."
