Made from oak this bookcase would have been designed by Leonard Wyburd an interior decorator and furniture designer who work for Liberty’s of London during the late 19th/early 20th century. He was the head of Liberty’s furnishing and decoration studio from 1883 until 1903 and is is considered to be an important part of the Arts & Crafts movement. This bookcase is typical of his design style and the construction methods used during the Arts & Crafts period.
