A set of TWELVE George III dining chairs. Made from Cuban mahogany and dating from the late 18th century Sheraton period, the chairs have carved decoration detail to their backs. They stand on square tapering legs with spade feet and are a good rich colour. They have generous width seats and are comfortable to sit on. One chair has been upholstered to enable it to be sat upon to test for comfort and its height checked against any table.  The rest of the set are sold in the frame but a price can be supplied to upholster the remaining eleven chairs.

“Complete sets of twelve 18th century chairs are difficult to find and this set illustrate the qualities of the Sheraton period with their good quality and elegant design".
