A collection of five Vintage Chinese mud men figures. Mudmen were brightly gazed figurines of men, women, wise men and old sages that were shown seated, standing or holding flutes, scrolls, pots, fish and other objects or sometimes fishing. Each mudman was hand painted with a low temperature lead glaze in yellow, blue or green with the occassional use of white or brown. The face, hands and feet were left unglazed to expose the natural colour of the mud.
