A Satinwood Sheraton Revival Settee Attributed To Gillow

£2,350.00

$2,921

Circa: 1860

Height: 38.5"

Width: 42"

Period: 19th Century

Location: Hungerford

Of excellent quality, the settee has a carved solid satinwood back and arms (front legs and seat moulding are mahogany). From the design and overall quality this settee is almost certainly a Gillow commission copied from their original “canopy top rail” design that was introduced by them in 1793.  At only 42.5″ wide it is a very neat size. The settee is currently upholstered in calico.

"Its unusual to find a solid satinwood carved settee of this quality and colour."
