This 18th century settee has great shape and style was purchased from an Irish private house, where it has been in the same family for many years. With elegant cabriole Cuban mahogany legs that are a good rich colour and with a wax patination, the settee is narrower than one normally finds such a serpentine example. It is comfortable to sit on and has has recently been re-upholstered from the frame using traditional materials and upholstery techniques. As such, the frame is tight and the settee is in excellent condition.
