A pair of 19th century French open armchairs. Made from beech, the chairs are well shaped and have good carved decoration to the arms, legs and frieze. They retain the original velvet cotton upholstery that has decorative nail studding. The show wood is a wonderful colour with an untouched surface and the chairs are comfortable to sit in. Pairs of chairs of this scale, quality and colour are difficult to find and this pair are a particularly good example.

"A really super pair of French armchairs that retain their original velvet upholstery."
