Made from best quality mahogany, these Irish chairs are in the George style and have shell caved decoration to the cabriole legs. They retain their original needlework upholstery and the chairs are of a generous proportion, meaning they can be comfortably sat in. It is very rare to find a pairs of wing chairs of this period, especially retaining the original needlework. Due to their style of leg, they are Irish in origin and in the George II (1735) style. .
