Retaining the original inset marble tops the columns are made from walnut. With square moulded tops that have dental decoration above fluted columns that stand on square plinths. The columns have gilt decoration t the tops and columns and have come from a French Chateau. One column is slightly  lighter in tone than the other most likely by  being stood nearer to the window in the room than the other. Pairs of period columns like this are difficult to find and this pair have a great country house or chateau feel to them.

“A decent and original pair of country house or chateau columns."
