A George I mirror. Veneered in walnut and with carved and gilded decoration to the open cartouche and sides. The mirror is also enhanced with surface relief carving that is then gilded. It is unusual to find this type of decoration on mirrors of this period and the colour of the walnut is good. At 39 inches high the mirror is of good scale and well balanced in form.
