A George Ist walnut veneered lowboy. With a quarter veneered top that is also cross banded and inlaid with herringbone decoration, the lowboy has a shaped frieze above three drawers – all that retain their original penny ring handles. It stands on well shaped cabriole legs that end with slipper feet.  The colour and patination are both untouched and this is a really decent example of an early walnut lowboy .

“Really super and untouched examples of early walnut furniture are becoming very difficult to find which makes this piece so special".
