A George III tea caddy. Dating from the Sheraton period, the caddy is made from Cuban mahogany and has fine kingwood cross bandings, parquetry inlaid diamonds and box wood stringing inlay. It stands on the original brass and gilded feet and the lid opens to reveal the original interior. The mahogany lids have box wood knob handles and traces of the original foil lining paper is still present. The quality and colour are both very good and this is a really good example of a Georgian tea caddy.

“A really decent example of a Sheraton period tea caddy that is original throughout, a good colour and a great object to add to any interior."
