Circa: 1775

Depth: 22"

Height: 74"

Width: 49"

Period: George III

Location: Hungerford

A George III linen press. Made from Cuban mahogany, the press with a dental moulded and parquetry inlaid cornice above twin doors that have very well figured panels. The interior retaining the original sliding shelves and the base with two short and two long drawer above original bracket feet. The press is of very good quality and colour. Standing at only 74 inches high it is slightly lower than most presses making it able to fit certain low ceilinged interiors where most couldn’t. Please note that the colour of the press is much better than the images portray.

"An unusually low Georgian linen press with great colour and well figured panels."
