Dating from the early George II period, and possibly of Irish origin, the chair has fabulous carved decoration to the top rail and well swept arms. With a drop in seat that is upholstered in early 18th century needlework, the chair stands on cabriole legs with bold claw& ball feet. It is an untouched rich county house colour with a great patination.
