A 19th Century Chinoiserie Cabinet On Stand
Period: 19th Century
With a dental decorated cornice above twin doors that open to reveal a shelved interior, the cabinet stands on a base with a single drawer and club legs with pad feet. The cabinet is original throughout but uniquely, it features various design features from the late 17th to mid 18th century such as the 17th century themed arched and raised panels on the doors, the club legs stylistic of the George II period and the use of a dental moulding to the cornice, which is associated with the mid 18th century. These all combine to make a useful, unique and very decorative cabinet.
