A quality bronze of Sir Walter Scott and standing on a slate plinth. Sir Walter Scott (1771-1832) was a Scottish historian, novelist, poet and play wright. Many of his works remains classics such as Ivanhoe (1819), Rob Roy (1817) and the Waverely novels. Base in Edinburgh, he became a baronet in 1820 and a major statue of him can be seen on Princess Street in Edinburgh.
