A Superb Regency Period Carved Wood And Gilded Double Sided Fire Screen

Circa: 1815

Depth: 20"

Height: 43"

Width: 24"

Period: Regency

Location: Hungerford

A Regency period carved wood and gilt fire screen.  Of excellent quality, this screen would have been designed to stand in an empty fireplace during the summer months when the fire was not lit and so hide the void. It is finished on both sides and the gilt decoration is original. It has later inset crewel work panels and these of course could be change to suit any interior.

“A great looking double sided fire screen that will compliment the grandest of fireplaces."
