An 18th century hand coloured map of the English county of Berkshire. This map is in very good condition and would have been hand coloured at a later date after printing. It shows the county of Berkshire with the 18th century spelling being BARKSHIRE. It is interesting to see how the spelling of some of the other towns in the county have change from this period to their spellings now. The map is framed and in great condition for a map that is over two hundred and seventy years old.

"A great piece of early 18th century history that highlights how the spelling of the English language has changed during the last two hundred and seventy years".
